Description

Test bench for generating braking and driving torque of electric machines and other rotating machines, adapted to precise measurements of torque and rotational speed. It enables the testing of machines with a horizontal shaft with a power of up to 200 kW and a rotational speed of up to 6000 rpm, and machines with a vertical shaft with a power of up to 80 kW and a rotational speed of up to 1500 rpm. Machines with a horizontal shaft may have a shaft height of up to 355 mm and a maximum weight of up to 2400 kg – both flange-mounted and foot-mounted (mounting table with dimensions of 1200x1200 mm).

The rules of using the equipment will be consistent with the research infrastructure management system being developed. The elements of this system include the method of reporting the demand for the performance of tests, the appointment of a person responsible for the performance of the tests, and the rules governing the intellectual property of the results. An element of the system will also be the settlement for the performed tests, allowing for free testing (in the case of joint publication or on the basis of reciprocity using the apparatus). Acceptance by Manager or Dean required. Research for commercial use for a fee.
