DMA-80 is a direct mercury (Hg) analyzer designed for fast and precise determination of total mercury and mercury fraction in solid samples without any sample preparation or chemical reagents. It operates based on thermal decomposition, amalgamation, and atomic absorption spectrometry (TD-AAS), fully compliant with EPA Method 7473. The analysis time is just 6 minutes. The system includes an autosampler with a capacity of up to 40 samples for unattended operation. It offers high sensitivity (LOD = 0.001 ng Hg) and a broad dynamic range (up to 1,500 ng). DMA-80 generates no liquid waste and requires minimal maintenance. Its compact design and user-friendly interface make it ideal for environmental, geochemical, biological, and industrial laboratories. A detailed description of the Hg fractionation method can be found in Saniewska and Bełdowska (2017) and Wilman et al. (2023).
