MERX-T Automated Mercury System

Description

MERX-T is an advanced, fully automated system for the determination of ultra-trace levels of total mercury in liquid samples, compliant with U.S. EPA Method 1631. It achieves an instrument detection limit of <0.2 ng/L and offers a wide dynamic range of up to 100 ng/L. The system minimizes contamination risks through sealed vial handling and a direct vial purging system, which eliminates exposure to atmospheric mercury and reduces carryover between samples. Mercury is purged using nitrogen gas, collected on a gold trap, and detected via cold vapor atomic fluorescence spectrometry (CVAFS). MERX-T is ideal for laboratories focused on high-precision, ultra-low-level mercury analysis in environmental monitoring and research.
