The laboratory is equipped with Tecnai Spirit BioTWIN transmission electron microscope (FEI Company), preparation rooms, darkroom, ultramicrotome, sputter coater, critical point dryer and a warehouse.The microscope allows users to perform research in the life sciences, but is also suitable for materials analysis. It is designed for high contrast imaging and analysis at high resolution. Application includes analysis of ultrastructure of plant, animal and human material, preparation of prokaryotic organisms, preparation of proteins and nanoparticles.
