Description
The HYDRINS device from iXblue is a high-performance, high-accuracy inertial navigation system (INS). It is used with measurement systems that require information about the vertical (yaw), lateral (roll), and longitudinal (pitch) tilts of a vessel, including multibeam echosounder (MBES), USBL underwater navigation system, and scientific and fishing split-beam echosounders. In addition, HYDRINS is a compact unit that provides highly accurate data on current position, course, and speed. For optimal performance, the device is installed on the ship in close proximity to the vessel's center of gravity (CoG).
