Description

The system enables, among others achieving a chromatographic separation of the test sample, thanks to the use of two pumps, and the ability to precisely "cut" the separated substances in the first dimension and transfer them to the second dimension, for example to check the purity of the substances. The use of an ion mobility spectrometer allows obtaining data such as the drift time of individual ions and the so-called CCS (collision cross section), which can be translated as the cross-sectional area of a molecule. This apparatus can be used, inter alia, in in the quality control of pharmaceutical and food products, research on the metabolism of psychoactive substances, or selecting biomarkers of diseases and inflammations.

Access rules

Access rules

The rules of using the equipment will be consistent with the research infrastructure management system being developed. The elements of this system include the method of reporting the demand for the performance of tests, the appointment of a person responsible for the performance of the tests, and the rules governing the intellectual property of the results. An element of the system will also be the settlement for the performed tests, allowing for free testing (in the case of joint publication or on the basis of reciprocity using the apparatus).
