A set of spectral research apparatus with very high sensitivity in the UV-Vis-NIR range. Includes spectrophotometers for measurements of steady-state absorption, steady- and time-resolved fluorescence, fluorescence anisotropy, fluorescence microscope with up to 600x magnification and phase-contrast, picosecond pulsed light sources, CW sources. Measurements of directional emission characteristics are possible (e.g. SPCE). The laboratory allows to obtain emission signals from objects which are extremely weakly luminous, enables detection of biochemical processes at a very early stage, examination of mixtures of fluorescent compounds, analysis of optical materials as well as monitoring of photodegradation and other processes induced by light. Conditions: possibility to change the polarity of the medium, detect ambient effects in solutions and films in the absence of oxygen within the range from +5 to +90 deg C. It is possible to prepare solid samples using solution-processing methods, preparation or chemical modification of materials in vacuum or inert atmosphere (argon).
