MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization) spectrometer, which enables the analysis of mainly proteins, peptides, but also small molecules using a properly selected matrix. Mass measurement with high accuracy allows the use of a spectrometer to confirm the mass of peptides, whole proteins (Intact Mass Spectrometry). Fast and reliable identification of proteins after gel digestion is possible thanks to the MS/MS fragmentation spectra analysis in ProteinPilot - an excellent solution for proteomic analyzes. The high speed and sensitivity of the 5800 provide an ideal platform for biomarker analysis, MALDI imaging and compound identification. The device can work in linear and reflection mode, as well as in MS / MS mode. The wide measuring range enables mass measurements from approx. 100 Da to approx. 200 kDa.
